ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan Bakhytbek Shabarbayev has been designated as new Dean of Diplomatic Corps in Pakistan. He is currently Dean of the Central Asia’s Diplomatic Corps. He will be replacing Rodolfo J Martin Saravia who is ambassador of Argentina and also Dean of Diplomats and Dean of Americas.
Rodolfo has turned 70 and would be relinquishing the assignment in February and attaining superannuation the same month. He is going to retire from the service of his country’s Foreign Affairs. He served as envoy of his country in Pakistan for eleven long years and enjoys remarkable esteem in all relevant quarters in the country. He maintained personal friendship with various political leaders and top bureaucrats in Pakistan.
A great send off reception would be arranged in his honour next month as he earned exclusive reputation for hosting receptions in record number during his stay in Islamabad. Ambassador Rodolfo highlighted the cause of his country befittingly with regard to Falkland against the United Kingdom.
The Foreign Office would host farewell for Ambassador Rodolfo J Martin Saravia as a special gesture for recognition of his services. Bakhytbek Shabarbayev who will be new Dean of the Diplomatic Corps also enjoys respect widely in Pakistan and a known friend of Pakistan, the sources said.
