Andrew fears what comes next as Jeffrey Epstein scandal deepens
Former Prince Andrew struggling behind closed doors over what may emerge next
Former Prince Andrew is said to be living in constant fear as uncertainty grows over what could happen next as Jeffrey Epstein scandal deepens.
The former Duke of York was taken into police custody after being arrested on suspicion of misconduct in a public office on his 66th birthday and was later released pending further investigation.
While he remains eighth in line to the throne, there are reports that the government may consider removing him from the line of succession once investigations are complete.
Now, royal experts are saying that even someone as self-assured as Andrew must be feeling the pressure.
"He is an arrogant, self-assured man – but even he must be feeling the heat. To live with this kind of pressure must take its toll on anyone - unless they are somehow completely oblivious to the gathering storm,” Jennie Bond told The Mirror.
She added, “He must be living with constant fear about what will be revealed next.”
To this, commentator Afua Acheampong-Hagan said, "I don't doubt that this has had a great effect on his mental health.
“I don't doubt that at all, but again, two things can be true at once: this can be affecting his mental health but he still has to be held accountable."
