PESHAWAR: A Recruitment and Job Fair was organised at the City University of Science & Information Technology that proved to be an interactive platform both for the students and companies.
Zulfiqar Ali Khan, president KP Chamber of Commerce and Industry inaugurated the event as chief guest on the occasion. KPCCI senior vice president Ammad Rashid, vice president Shuja Muhammad, City University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Attaullah, Skill Development Centre chairman Haji Muhammad Javed, university faculty and students were also present.
The chief guest advised the students to work hard with high level of motivation and dedication as there is no shortcut to success. He also said that in addition to joining various public and private sector organisations, the graduating students should also consider entrepreneurial careers.
Lauding the job fair of the university, Zulfiqar Ali Khan said industry-academia liaison through a desk could result in strengthening economy and more job opportunities.
Earlier, the KPCCI president inaugurated Recruitment and Job Fair and went round of stalls set up by software and IT companies, banks and industries of KP. Current students and graduates of the University and job seekers enthusiastically participated in the job fair.
Meanwhile, The City University of Science and Information Technology (CUSIT) has formed an alumni association to support the graduates students of the university.
Over the past 14 years, CUSIT is performing termendously in the field of education and promotion of co-cirrcular activites among students as one of the important agenda of its eduation policy. However, the graduates needed a platform to share experiences and career plans with mutual benefits.
The CUSIT’s Alumni Association is to provide a liaison between the alumni of the University, administration, staff, faculty and students.
