Different political and religious leaders, addressing a conference, paid glowing tributes to the martyrs of Karbala tragedy while addressing the eighth annual Shuhada conference held under the aegis of the Anjuman Fidayan Mustafa (AFM) on Thursday.
The conference was chaired by former Speaker National Assembly Syed Fakhar Imam while other speakers included Makhdoom Javed Hashmi, Tahir Rasheed Qureshi, Hafiz Akbar Jatoi, Eshanuddin Qureshi, Mufti Ghulam Mustafa Rizvi, Mufti Khursheed Siddiqi and Saqib Mehmood. Fakhar Imam said Imam Hussain (RA) taught a lesson to the Muslims that they must not give in before tyranny and oppression even if they had to lay down their lives. Mufti Ghulam Mustafa Rizvi said the glorious sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions could never be forgotten.
