Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman called on Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, here Sunday. Matters of mutual interest and other important matters were discussed during the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said that the PML-N government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, had achieved success during two and a half years and socio-economic sector had considerably improved. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister, economy of the country had strengthened due to solid economic policies and foreign exchange reserves were touching record level in the history of the country. He said that steps were being taken for elimination of terrorism and overcoming the problem of energy shortage. He said that peaceful, bright and prosperous Pakistan was the PML-N agenda and its mission of public service would change the destiny of the nation.
Meanwhile, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Irfan Siddiqui met Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, here Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said that measures were being taken for coping with the challenges of terrorism and energy shortage. He said that projects worth billions of rupees for the provision of basic amenities to the people were being completed speedily and transparently. He said that compared to 2013, Pakistan of 2015 was more peaceful and economically strong. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the PML-N government was paying special attention to the public welfare. He said that new records of public service would be set during next two and a half years.
Baloch: Shahbaz Sharif and Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch held a meeting here Sunday in which matters of mutual interest, including promotion of inter-provincial harmony and situation of the country were discussed.
Talking to Balochistan Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif said there was a need for collective efforts for national progress and development. He said that people of all units of the country would have to work together for economic stability, elimination of poverty, unemployment and ignorance and there was a greater need to make efforts for progress and development of the country.
He said that all political forces should work together for national progress and development and steering the country out of crises. He said that people of Pakistan wanted elimination of political jugglery, terrorism, poverty and resolution of energy crisis and other issues. He said there was a need to rise above mutual differences and move forward with the force of unity. He said that in view of this fact, the Punjab government had also included students and people of other provinces in its educational and health programmes. He said that by including students of all units of Pakistan in its educational programme, Punjab had played an active role for promotion of national solidarity. Dr Abdul Malik Baloch appreciated Shahbaz Sharif for the steps taken by him for the progress of the province and said that he had worked in the real sense for development and prosperity of Punjab.
