Ministry sets up cell on SDGs

Minister for Education and Professional Training Balighur Rehman has made a cell on sustainable development goals (SDGs) at his ministry.
While announcing the initiative, the minister said SDGs would be achieved within the stipulated time.
He said joint educational adviser of the ministry would serve as the head of the cell and deputy secretary education as his deputy.
"The basic purpose of this cell is to coordinate with the provinces and area education departments for regular meetings of the national committee on SDGs, implementation mechanism on SDGs among all provinces/areas, keeping liaison with other ministries/divisions, creating awareness about the SDGs, and coordination with international/national agencies," he said.
