Nazims to represent LGs in Provincial Finance Commission
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced the schedule for election of nazims to represent local governments in the Provincial Finance Commission (PFC). The election will be held today at the District Council Hall Peshawar. Secretary Local Government and Rural Development (LG&RD) Syed Jamaluddin Shah has been appointed Returning Officer.

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced the schedule for election of nazims to represent local governments in the Provincial Finance Commission (PFC).
The election will be held today at the District Council Hall Peshawar. Secretary Local Government and Rural Development (LG&RD) Syed Jamaluddin Shah has been appointed Returning Officer.
Senior Minister for Local Government & Rural Development Inayatullah Khan was assigned the task to supervise the entire election process.
Under the formula four nazims will be elected for PFC by the 23 districts and 68 tehsils, town nazims as the previous procedure of nominating two nazims.
As per election programme, nomination papers by the interested nazims could be filed from 10 to 11 am today at the District Council Hall Peshawar after which two representatives of district nazims for PFC would be elected between 11 am to 12 noon.
Similarly nomination papers by the tehsil, town nazims could be filed on the same day and venue from 2 to 3 pm. Their two representatives would be elected between 3:30 to 4:30 pm.
