LAHORE
In less than two and half years, 70,760 new voters have been registered in two controversial national assembly constituencies NA-122 and NA-154 as eligible voters reached 347,762, and 419,182, respectively.

These two consistencies are being more controversial after the Election Tribunals concerned had void the election results of both on the basis of irregularities in conducting election in NA-122 and fake degree by the winning candidate of NA-154, Sadiq Baloch. The bye-election in NA-122 will take place between PTI’s Aleem Khan and PML-N’s Ayaz Sadiq on October 11. However, bye-polls in NA-154 were postponed after the apex court had granted a stay order in favour of Sadiq Baloch of PML-N by suspending the election tribunal’s decision which had directed bye-elections in the constituency after declaring Baloch’s degree fake.
The number of new registered voters in NA-144 Okara has also increased from 293394 to 316289 which makes 22,894 new voters in the constituency. The Election Tribunal Multan had declared election null and void in said constituency after PML-N winning candidate Ch Arif, was declared ineligible for holding a fake FA (intermediate) degree. His victory was challenged in the tribunal by rival candidate Fiaz Ahmed. The bye-elections in said constituency are going to be held on October 11.

Jahangir Khanzada, son of the slain home minister of Punjab Col (retd) Shuja Khanzada had secured victory from PP-16 in bye-election held on October 6. This provincial seat was got vacant after the death of Col (retd) Shuja Khanzada in a bomb blast.
As many as 9,765 voters have been added in PP-147 where by elections are due on October 11.
