Tribal elder shot dead in Bajaur
KHAR: Unidentified target-killers shot dead a tribal elder and injured a police constable in Khorchai area of Mohmand tehsil in Bajaur district on Tuesday. Police said that unknown attackers opened fire on local tribal elder Malik Abdul Jalil, killing him on the spot and injuring his companion named Tayyab, a police constable. The dead and injured were shifted to the hospital in Khar. Meanwhile, a woman sustained injuries when a mine went off in the field. The injured woman was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, Khar.
BOMB DEFUSED: The Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) defused an explosive device planted by miscreants in Godagail area in Nawagai tehsil in the district. Someone informed the police about the explosive device in Godagail area. A team of BDU police rushed to the spot and defused the explosive.
