Police officers celebrate Eid with subordinates
Islamabad : Inspector General of Police Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan has felicitated the police officers and Jawans on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
In a message, the IG appreciated the performance of all the divisions on the best security arrangements during holy month of Ramazan and on Eid. He said cops were celebrating Eid away from their homes for the security and safety of people.
The IGP paid tributes to police officials who had sacrificed their lives for defense of the homeland. He said that policemen deserved credit of ensuring Eid celebrations in peaceful atmosphere.
He said the duty of police was to protect the lives and property of the citizens.
He said police had also launched awareness campaigns to protect citizens from the coronavirus epidemic and utmost efforts were ensured for implementation on SOPs issued by the government.
DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed also visited Rescue 15 office on Eid day while SPs also visited their respective zones and met with the police officials performing duties during Eid.
The DIGs and SSPs of all divisions also celebrated Eid with the policemen in their divisions and had lunch with them.
They said that each policemen of the force was performing his duties with commitment and ensuring protection to the lives and property of citizens besides implementation on government SOPs during COVID-19 phase.
