Governor, corps commander discuss security matters

The restoration of law and order in Sindh, including Karachi, and other security affairs of the province were discussed in detail as Corps Commander Lt General Naveed Mukhtar met Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan on Monday.
According to a handout issued by the Governor’s House, Ebad appreciated the services and efforts of Rangers, Sindh Police and intelligence agencies for their efforts to restore the law and order situation in Karachi, while expressing satisfaction over the overall state of security in the province.
He was of the view that precious sacrifices had been rendered by the armed forces during the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb and had boosted the concepts of solidarity, unity and peace in the country.
He said owing to services of the armed forces, the image of Pakistan had improved as a secure and peace-loving nation. In this regard, he said, the entire nation gave due value and credit to services, professional capabilities and sacrifices rendered by its armed forces.
The corps commander Karachi said that Operation Zarb-e-Azb would continue till terrorism was eradicated from the country.
