Toxic ice cream claims life

A 27-year-old youth died from eating tainted ice cream in North Cantt area on Saturday. The victim identified as Junaid hailed from Bahawalnagar. He went unconscious after eating ice cream he had brought from a shop in North Cantt. He was rushed to a local hospital where he died.
Suicide: A newly married girl committed suicide by hanging herself with a rope in Hadyara on Saturday. The victim was identified as Abida Bibi, wife of Basharat of Hadyara. Abida of Faisalabad had married Basharat few months back. Domestic issues rode roughshod over their marital bliss. On Saturday, Abida Bibi had an exchange of harsh words with her husband and later ended her life by hanging herself with a rope. The girl’s family suspected that she had been murdered. Police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy.
Hit to death: A 40-year-old man was killed by a vehicle in Raiwind on Saturday.
The victim, yet to be identified, was crossing the road when an unknown vehicle hit him as a result he received serious injuries. He was rushed to a local hospital where he died.
