LAHORE: Speakers of an online seminar organised by Punjab University’s Department of Urdu have called upon the need to introduce uniform curriculum throughout the country to produce a great nation as per the teachings of Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
The seminar was organised in connection with the death anniversary of Allama Muhammad Iqbal. PU Department of Urdu Chairman Prof Dr Zahid Munir Amir, Prof Dr Rafi-ud-Din Hashmi, Dr Muhammad Kamran, Prof Dr Ziaul Hassan, Dr Nasir Abbas Nayyar, Dr Arifa Shahzad, Dr Anila Saleem, Dr Asif Ali Chattha and a large number of students participated in the online seminar.
Dr Amir said Allama Iqbal’s teachings must be given basic importance in the curriculum. Dr Hashmi said Balochistan had given more importance to the teachings of Allama Iqbal in curriculum as compared to other provinces. The speakers gave various recommendations to do research and promote teachings of Allama Iqbal in the country.
