SUKKUR: To pay rich tributes to the frontline workers fighting with COVID-19, one of the world’s largest white flags was hoisted by mayor Sukkur Barrister Arsalan Islam Sheikh and the city administration.
The size of the white flag is 84x56 and hoisted on a walking track in Sukkur to pay tributes to our national heroes during the war against the coronavirus pandemic indulging themselves and their family members’ lives into extreme danger. He said our doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, law enforcement agencies personnel, including army, Rangers, and police, media personnel, municipality staff and others have continuously been working to serve people.
Sheikh also presented souvenirs to them to motivate them and as a message for the rest of the nation to stand united with them to fight the war against the corona pandemic. He said it is amazing to deal with the possible pandemic with such a vulnerable healthcare system, and without any doubt, it happened due to the committed health workers of the country. Colonel Ikram, HQ 16 Division, Pano Aqil, Pak Army, Rangers Wing Commander Sukkur Colonel Imran, Rana Adeel Tassawur, SSP Irfan Sammo, Deputy Mayor Tariq Hussain Chohan, Municipal Commissioner Muhammad Ali Sheikh, MS Civil Hospital, doctors and others joined hands and participated on the occasion.
