Dam fund

Nowadays there is an uproar that the Dam fund be utilized for the pandemic. As far as the novel coronavirus is concerned, there is no doubt that it is an unprecedented calamity and funds are required to fight it. But it would be very unwise to use the dam fund for this purpose.

Water is a lifeline for the nation and in the years to come there will be severe water shortage if dams are not constructed. Those who are opposing the construction of dams want to divert the dam funds towards the coronavirus fund which is not the right approach.
