SWABI: A 52-year-old man suffering from coronavirus passed away at the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) in Peshawar on Sunday, an official said.
Deputy Commissioner, Swabi, Shahid Mahmood said the deceased Khan Sher, who belonged to Jaganat, a far-flung village of Tehsil Razaar, had returned from Karachi on March 16 and had developed the symptoms of the coronavirus. However, his health condition deteriorated and the district health officials referred him to the LRH Peshawar on April 1, where he breathed his last Sunday morning. His body was shifted to his village under tough precautionary measures.
Shahid Mahmood said that the first positive case in Swabi was Mohammad Khalid reported from Bada, a village of Gadoon Amazai mountainous region. He added that there were 10 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the district.
