Liquor claims 6 lives in Okara
OKARA: Six people died after consuming liquor in Christians colonies and neighboring localities.
In Old and New Christians colonies, Allah Ditta Masih, Yasir Masih, a sweeper in Population Welfare Department, Nattah Masih, a Municipal Corporation employee, and Haroon Masih consumed liquor on Wednesday night. On Thursday, they died as they had consumed heavy quantity of liquor. In another incident, Riaz of Basti Boharwali and Ali Shah, an employee of Health Department, residing in Hospital Colony, consumed liquor and died on the spot.
MAN FOUND DEAD: A man was found dead in the suburbs of Chak 33/2L. The people spotted a body and informed Shahbore police about it. On information, the police reached the spot and took the body in custody. The body was later identified as of Mansha of Chak 33/2L. The body has been shifted to the DHQ City Hospital for autopsy.
FLAG MARCH: Police and other law enforcing agencies conducted a flag march here. District Police Officer Umer Saeed Malik led the flag march which was participated by Elite Force, Traffic Police and Army Jawans.
