PAF helps PIA by providing C-130 to bring back Pakistanis stranded abroad
ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan has ordered to provide C-130 transport plane to carry PIA pilots who volunteered to fly sorties bringing back stranded Pakistanis from abroad due to COVID-19 outbreak.
The pilots flying in from Karachi to Islamabad will be part of the PIAs relief operations. The air chief issued directives to spare PIA pilots from Karachi to Islamabad on request of CEO of PIA, Air Marshal Arshad Malik. These pilots volunteered themselves to thwart away undue pressure imposed by few self-oriented individuals on the management.
The CEO of PIA has thanked the air chief, officers and staff of the Pakistan Air Force for always stepping forward in the time of need as these pilots were critical for resuming flights for affected countrymen. He also reiterated to the nation that so long such dedicated volunteers are there, adding the PIA will never desert the people of Pakistan and will do everything within to serve this great nation. "Long Live Pakistan, Long Live PIA, Long Live Pakistan Air Force," the CEO of PIA uttered.
Meanwhile, two PIA flights left for London and Manchester to bring back stranded Pakistanis. Similarly three flights have also left Islamabad for Birmingham, Manchester and London to perform the same task. The crew of flights have been provided face masks, sanitizers etc.
