Gang involved in robbing overseas Pakistanis arrested
Rawalpindi : Three-member inter-district gang accomplice in robbing overseas Pakistanis arrested in the limits of Mandra Police station here on Wednesday.
This gang was accomplice in robbing overseas expatriate Pakistanis who use to come Pakistan from abroad.
All three members of this inter-district gang are of criminal record holder with police and were challaned already in districts of Jehlum and Lahore.
This gang use to target foreign visitors arriving in Pakistan by trekking them following their landing at Airports and robbed the foreign expatriates by threatening them with weapons.
On receiving reports of robbing of overseas Pakistanis, CPO Rawalpindi Muhammad Ahsan Younis has assigned SDPO Gujjar Khan Circle Zulifqar Ali, SHO Mandra and Special IT Tema of police to arrest the culprits. Police taking advantage of latest technology traced this gang and arrested them.
During preliminary investigation, the detainee dacoits confessed for making robberies with expatriate Pakistanis.
SP Sadar Division Ziadudin Ahmed also stated that facilitators and other aides of this interdistrict gang will also be arrested.
Meanwhile, Kahuta Police held three robbers involved in robberies in different areas of Kahuta and Rawalpindi.
The detainee culprits were also accomplice in robberies at CNG Gas stations, petrol pumps, medical stores in different areas of Rawalpindi.
The detainee culprits are identified as Nomi Gang including Nauman aka Nomi, Hammad Ali and Mohsin.
The detainee culprits were also accomplice in making firing at police. SP Sadar said that all legal requirements will be utilised to punish the detainee dacoits.
