Savings centres
April 08, 2020
During these days of lockdown, the National Saving Centers remain shut. This is causing inconvenience to its small investors. They are facing a financial crunch due to non-payment of their profits on maturity. Most of them are old age, retired personnel/pensioners who are facing hardships. They are dependent on profit payments to meet their expenses.
Therefore, the Ministry of Finance should issue a directive to the Central Directorate of National Saving to open these centers. The State Bank of Pakistan authorities should also take a notice of it to make sure these centers should be functional as other financial institutions.
