The spread of Covid-19 is massively impacting individuals, families and societies across the globe, but the crisis of commitment both on the part of our rulers and the people is not visible in many cities, towns and villages. Many people are still in a state of denial. They underestimate the gravity of the situation. On the contrary, others who are glued to television channels are in a state of despair, despondency, depression and fear.
Only with care, creativity, commitments to human dignity and rights and national solidarity can we cope with Covid-19, but who cares in this country where neither the rulers nor the ruled are ready to show solidarity?
