ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah wrote a letter to Chief Minister Khyber Pukhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak for the provision of security to ex-federal minister Najamuddin Khan and his family.
Syed Khursheed Shah wrote he would like to draw the attention to blatant gunfire on Rahatullah Khan, son of Najamuddin Khan. “The incident took place on 17-9-15 in Upper Dir when unknown gunmen opened fire on the caravan of Rahatullah Khan. By the Grace of Allah, he remained safe during the incident as he was in a bulletproof vehicle,” he stated in the letter.
The opposition leader said this incident was very serious in nature and needs immediate attention of the provincial government as well as of law enforcing agencies. “I hope under your supervision, culprits will soon be arrested and punished accordingly. Keeping in view the current security situation, full time security needs to be provided to Najamuddin Khan and his family to avoid any further such incident.”
