LAHORE: On the directions of LWMC Managing Director, the department has deputed the staff to provide extraordinary cleanliness services inside and outside quarantine centres at Kala Shah Kaku and Expo Centre, Lahore formed by the Punjab government. LWMC MD stated the department was on the frontline fighting against coronavirus by providing exceptional cleanliness services to the Lahorites. He said that department was timely lifting waste from every nook and corner of the City followed by special washing with the disinfectant of major and minor rods, footpaths, bus stops and hospitals. LWMC also distributed soaps among workers to ensure their safety against coronavirus.
LWMC MD directed that all workers must wash their hands regularly as they are the asset to the organisation and the department cannot compromise over their health. Spokesperson for LWMC stated that the department was using all possible and available resources to provide a clean environment to the citizens. He said that the citizens must cooperate with the department by proper disposal of solid waste in provided bins. He stated that department was redressing all public complaints regarding solid waste on priority and citizens can dial LWMC helpline 1139 or can use mobile-based application Clean Lahore for their complaint registration.
