MULTAN: Solid Waste Management Company and Rescue 1122 launched a joint drive to sterilise city roads, buildings and public places through spray machines, officials said. The SWMC and Rescue 1122 constituted separate disinfection teams, who washed out city roads, public places and buildings with antiseptic chemicals. The Rescue 1122 disinfection teams sterilized south Punjab's biggest Tableeghi Markaz at Abdali mosque with chemicals. The disinfection teams also conducted washing operations at vegetable markets, Shamas Park, Madni Park, commercial banks and washed places with chlorinated water.
All metro stations, Multan quarantine and all hospitals are also part of the washing plan. The SWMC disinfection unit observed sterilization drive on Bosan Road, public places, public offices’ rooms would be washed out with chlorinated water. The antiseptic sterilization drive also conducted in Tehsil Shujabad and Tehsil Jalalpur. The Tehsil Municipal Corporations constituted special teams in their respective areas.
