LAHORE:The Public Relations Welfare Association (PRWA) has expressed orrow and over the death of Jang Group Chairman and Publisher Mir Javed-ur-Rahman.
In a condolence message, PRWA President Syed Nadeem-ul-Hassan, Senior Vice President Kamran Malik, Vice President Syed Ali Bukhari, Secretary General Haroon Akram and Executive members Faheem Jehanzaib, Ch. Zulfiqar Ali, Mehar Abdul Rauf, Karamat Ali, Faisal Zia, Khurram Shahzad, Dr Abid Saleemi, Ehsan Ghani, Athar Awan, Farooq Ahmed and Ahmed Mian extended their sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
They said Mir Javed-ur-Rahman had played a pivotal role in the exaltation of journalism in the country and also introduced advance tendency to the news media. They said the services of Mir Javed-ur-Rahman for his profession and country would always be remembered.
Former Evacuee Trust Property Board Chairman Syed Asif Hashmi expressed deep grief over the death. He demanded immediate release of Mir Shakil-ur-Rahman so that he could spend time with his family. Asif Hashmi lauded the contribution of Mir Javed-ur-Rahman for the press and prayed for the departed soul. Moreover, Tehreek-e-Istaqlal President Rehmat Khan Wardag also expressed deep grief on the death.
