Seven out of 8 people test negative for coronavirus

NOWSHERA: Seven out of the eight coronavirus suspected patients were allowed to go home after they tested negative for the viral disease on Sunday.

However, two patients bearing symptoms of coronavirus were sent to the isolation ward of the Qazi Medical Complex, Nowshera, for further tests and medical treatment. Talking to reporters, DC Shahid Ali Khan, DHQ Hospital MS Dr Shoaib, DMS and focal person for coronavirus ward Dr Zahid Khan said that the five admitted members of the two families of Sajjad Afridi and Kashif Khan had reported negative. They said that upon receiving negative results for the coronavirus, the individuals were allowed to go home and lead a normal life. Two other persons also reported negative hence they were sent home.The officials added that two other suspected patients hailing from Nowshera Kalaan and National Colony were admitted to the isolation ward of the hospital for coronavirus tests. One of the suspected patients, they said, had attended a fateha while the other had met a person recently returned from Saudi Arabia after performing Umrah.They said that 31 suspected patients were under treatment at the quarantine centre established at the Govt Postgraduate College, Nowshera. The results were awaited to ascertain their exact condition. Meanwhile, the district administration collected samples of flour from the three flourmills and sent to laboratory for coronavirus tests. Also, the officials seized lavish foods being cooked for charity in Ziarat Kaka Sahib and marriage ceremony in Ismailkhel area and distributed it among the inmates of Nowshera District Prison.
