PESHAWAR: The Pakistan People’s Party provincial leader Raham Bacha Sherpao has termed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government’s monthly financial assistance for the poor a joke with them and said the meagre amount is not sufficient even for a week. In a statement on Saturday, he said that the government had announced a stipend of Rs3000 monthly for the poor but no one would be able to run a home with this amount for a week in the prevalent price-hike. He asked the politicians and elected representatives who, he said, spent millions of rupees on their elections, should come forward to help the needy people in their respective constituencies.
