JHANG: On the orders of District Health Authority Administrator/DC Tahir Wattoo, monthly stipend of male and female house job doctors of the DHQ Hospital released here on Saturday. The district accounts officer has approved the payment bill after speedy processing within a day and handed over the cheque amounting to Rs 1,867,448 to the MS of the hospital. Earlier, the DC took notice of the matter when he was informed that a number of male and female doctors were performing duties as house officers but awaiting stipend for the last few months. Following the government directions issued to pay salaries to public servants especially health workers before the end of the month, the MS without wasting further time furnished the payment bill in the district accounts office that was approved within a day. MS Dr Asfandyar said that the contractual accounts officer of the hospital had already been directed to complete the process of depositing stipend into bank accounts of house officers on a priority basis.
