Man dies in roof collapse
LAHORE : A 45-year-old man was buried alive when the roof of his room collapsed in the South Cnatt area on Saturday.
The deceased, yet to be identified, was asleep when the roof of his room collapsed in Maryam Colony, South Cantt. Rescuers pulled out the body from the debris and removed it to morgue.

According to a spokesman for Lahore police, FIRs were registered against 403 persons who came out of their homes despite warning. Police set up 229 posts at various spots in the city. A total of 35,376 people were checked at the police posts. The spokesman said 25632 vehicles, including 15,056 motorcycles, 4,262 rickshaws, 4,075 cars and 557 taxis were checked.
