Doctors demand protective gear
KASUR: Young Doctors Association (YDA) Kasur chapter Thursday demanded protective gear for the doctors and paramedical staff deputed at the DHQ hospital, Kasur to handle coronavirus suspects. YDA president Dr Tahir Shaheen and coronavirus focalperson Dr Waseem Ahmed in a press conference at the DHQ hospital said doctors at the DHQ and THQ hospitals are facing hardships in dealing with the virus suspects.
They urged the authorities concerned to provide required things to the doctors to treat the coronavirus suspects. They said the DHQ and THQ hospitals are not equipped properly to handle any untoward situation. They said four ventilators of the DHQ hospital are not functioning properly and more ventilators are the need of the hour in the hospital. They also demanded diagnostic sticks and other equipment.
