Team to shift Covid-19 suspects to hospital

LAHORE:CCPO ordered constitution of a 60-member special team of Lahore police to ensure shifting of corona suspects to the hospital.

This decision was made in the light of complaints of resistance by some suspected patients in few points. Chairing a video link meeting of all divisional SPs, the CCPO directed that 10 police personnel in each division be deployed.

PromotED: A ceremony was held in the honour of two officers who were promoted to the Deputy Inspector General grade, at central police office on Thursday. IG Punjab and Additional IG Operations pinned badges of ranks of DIG on officers namely Mahboob and Imtiaz. Departmental promotion and increase in ranks basically enhanced the responsibilities of police officers, he IG observed.

perfomance: Police checked 17,822 citizens and stopped 7,513 persons from unnecessary travelling. Police registered 272 cases against the violation of 144 CrPC and impounded 38 cars for not having relevant documents.

Seven killed in accidents: Seven persons were killed and 614 injured in different road accidents during the last 24 hours.

The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) responded to 545 road accidents in all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Around 357 seriously inured persons were shifted to different hospitals and 257 were treated on the spot by Rescue medical teams.
