Patwari held for taking bribe

GUJRANWALA: The Anti-Corruption Establishment circle officer on Friday arrested a patwari for taking Rs 25,000 bribe.
Complainant Talib Hussain of Sambrial filed an application in which he stated that accused patwari Naveed Anwar was demanding Rs 25,000 as bribe from him for approval of his house map. At this, the ACE team raided and arrested the accused red-handed when he was receiving the bribe money.
KILLED IN ACCIDENT: A man died in an accident at Nowshera Virkan on Friday.

MAN HELD: An FIA team raided and arrested a man for running a travel agency illegally.
The FIA team raided the travel agency on Kutchery Road and arrested its owner Kashif. The team also recovered five passports and other documents from him. Meanwhile, the FIA arrested human smugglers Sajid and Naveed and registered a case against them.

Ghulam Fareed told that SI Munir Hussain had illegally occupied his official residence situated at Officers Colony despite the fact that the residence was officially allotted to him by the concerned department. He demanded the authorities get evacuate his official residence from the cop.
