FAISALABAD: People belonging to different walks of life Friday welcomed the Prime Minister’s package for farmers.
FCCI executive member Masood Iqbal said although it was a delayed initiative, but it will support small farmers to some extent.
He said it will bring a positive socio economic change and strengthen agricultural base of the country.
He said apart from the package the government should also give due consideration to exporters of rice.
MNA Haji Muhammad Akram Ansari said some political opponents are opposing the package which has exposed their lip service towards small farmers. These elements have lost public sympathy whereas the Prime Minister has proved his love and sincerity to small farmers.
MPA Haji Khalid Saeed also welcomed the PM package, urging the opponents to announce facilities for farmers’ community instead of criticizing the package.
5 ELECTED UNOPPOSED IN APTPMA POLLS: Five candidates were provisionally elected unopposed for five available seats of executive committee of All Pakistan Textile Processing Mills Association (APTPMA) Faisalabad Region for the year 2015-16.
Among these candidates include, Chaudhary Habib Ahmad Gujar (Zam Zam Textile), Muhammad Saeed Sheikh (Rasheed Fabrics), Muhammad Yaseen (Al Haram Textile), Syed Riasat Ali Shah (Syed Dying) and Muhammad Dawood (Al Mumtaz Textile).
The newly elected office bearers have expressed concern over decreasing production in value added processing industry and demanded a progressive and supporting industrial policy to give support to this sector.
RPO’S WARNING: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Muhammad Ehsan Tufail Friday ordered all SHOs of the region not to send crime reports directly to his office otherwise a departmental action would be initiated against them. He directed them to send reports through the offices of CPO and DPOs.
