MNA becomes part of telemedicine centre

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the federal government is playing its role to provide all facilities to coronavirus patients. Relief package of one thousand billion rupees and reduction of 15 rupees in per litre petroleum prices is testimony that government is siding with people and averting crisis, she said.

“I will also play my role and we will defeat this crisis by unity,” she added. smooth working of corona crisis cell: The officers and staff of the Home Department and other departments deputed at Corona Crisis and Management Cell (CCMC) have been directed to remain available during their duty timing to ensure smooth and optimal functioning of the cell.

In this regard a notification has been issued here Wednesday. The additional secretary of the department concerned will be in-charge of the shift during his duty timing and he will be responsible for ensuring presence of all staff and officers. The other departments whose officers and staff deputed for the CCMC include specialised healthcare and medical education , primary healthcare , industries and commerce, Food , Agriculture , Livestock and dairy development, Local Government , Labour and Human Resource, Punjab Forensic and science agency, I & C ( S & GAD ) PITB , Rescue 1122 and Civil Defence. The cell will coordinate with all the administrative departments, field officers and staff to collect update data for live situation of corona patients’ death and other related issues. It will also collect updated facilities of quarantine facilities in the province situation of isolation wards and capacity implementation of Section 144 CrPC. The cell will collect the updated details of contingency planning of each district specifically availability of wheat , grocery , pharma stock and action against holding and price hike. The CCMC will also get data from Provincial Disaster management authority (PDMA) regarding track, trace and treatment of the passengers from the list communicated by the PDMA.

Strict lockdown stressed: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Deputy Secretary Information Central Punjab Khawaja Aamer Raza has said that the only way to beat Coronavirus is by enforcing a strict closedown.

In a press statement issued here Wednesday, he said this model had been enforced successfully in other countries. “Enforce a strict mandatory lockdown on all non-essential services for a month, close all inbound international travel, lock our borders, this will successfully eradicate the virus,” he added.

Khawaja Aamer Raza emphasised that every Pakistani must ensure that his neighbour was safe and well-fed during this hour of trial. We have to fight this pandemic with unity and as one nation, he added. He said that Pakistan should follow a China model, beating the virus through unprecedented crowd control through strict a lockdown.

PPP meeting: A video link meeting of PPP Punjab Parliamentary Party will be held at 2pm today (Thursday). The meeting chaired by Syed Hassan Murtaza will review the outbreak of Covid 19 epidemic across Punjab as well as government measures taken to counter the outbreak.

The PPP Punjab parliamentary leader Syed Hassan Murtaz said the meeting would discuss and formulate a co-operation strategy with the government to make lockdown effective in Punjab. There would also be consultation on how to make the campaign effective for raising awareness among the people, he added.

While talking about the role of citizens in fighting the pandemic, he maintained every citizen had to play his/her role in this regard. “We have already offered all kinds of support to the government” he said, adding the meeting would review the steps taken by Punjab government against coronavirus.

Govt has failed to deliver: The government has failed to provide health facilities, alleged PML-N leader Saif-ul-Malook in a statement here on Wednesday.

Because of lack of competency, the Punjab government failed to deliver. People are remembering the days of the PML-N. They believe that Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif had a decision power to deliver. We delivered people on their doorsteps, he said. MPAs and MNAs under the directions of Nawaz Sharif will start awareness campaign in their constituencies, he said.

The government seemed helpless to contain spread of corona virus in Punjab. The government should learn from the experience of Shahbaz Sharif who controlled dengue virus. The virus could be avoided by taking measures in time, he said He said, “Punjab government has failed to deliver even the government don’t have the testing kit to check the persons infected with corona. People visit different and private laboratories which are costly and poor people cannot afford it”. He demanded the federal and provincial governments provide health facilities to people. He lauded the arrival of Shahbaz Sharif.
