SU team prepares hand sanitizer for distribution among people

SUKKUR: A team of chemists and microbiologists from Sindh University, Jamshoro, on the directives of vice-chancellor Prof Dr Fateh Muhammad Burfat has prepared an economical hand sanitizer at the university laboratory aiming to distribute among the people residing in campus premises and city’s suburbs. The team, led by Prof Dr Shuhabuddin Memon of Centre of Excellence in Analytical Chemistry and Prof Dr Sarfraz Ahmed Tunio of Department of Microbiology, took the initiative to provide cost effective hand sanitizers to the people to protect themselves from the outbreak of coronavirus. Appreciating the team, the SU vice-chancellor said, "We have taken several immediate measures to combat the challenge against the deadly virus.”
