Waqar urges people to stay indoors
KARACHI: Pakistan’s bowling coach Waqar Younis on Monday appealed to the whole nation to ensure social distancing, cleanliness and urged people to stay at homes so that deadly coronavirus could be beaten.
“You will have to win this war not through arms and swords but through discipline,” Waqar said in a video message on the occasion of Pakistan Day on Monday. “The day is not far away when we will win this war against the pandemic,” Waqar said.
With the number of patients increasing, Pakistan is going towards a complete lockdown. Following Sindh’s initiative to lockdown the province for 15 days, Punjab and Azad Kashmir have also decided to enforce lockdown for two and three weeks, respectively.
“If we all help the state in fighting against this disease it can be easily beaten. If we can achieve a country through seven-year struggle then we can also save it through seven-week struggle,” Waqar said.
