ANP supports APC suggestion to deal with coronavirus challenge
PESHAWAR: The Awami National Party (ANP) on Monday supported the call for an all parties conference on the prevailing situation in the country in the wake of spread of coronavirus.
A statement issued from Bach's Khan Markaz said Aimal Wali Khan, the provincial chief of the party, during a telephonic conversation with Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said the country needed a comprehensive policy to successfully handle the situation. He said all political forces should sit together to devise a comprehensive policy to fight the pandemic of coronavirus. The ANP leader said collective efforts were the only way out in the current situation. He said his party supported the PPP suggestion for convening the APC, saying that the situation demands unity and collective efforts. Meanwhile, ANP provincial general secretary Sardar Hussain Babak has asked the public to cooperate with the administration in the fight against coronavirus. The ANP leader said everyone should play a role in containing the pandemic. He requested everyone to suspend outdoor activity support the government efforts.
