A mother of two children was shot dead by her husband in the Chuhng area over suspicion that she was in a relationship.
The victim was identified as Nadia, wife of Rizwan of Jhanda Chowk, Chuhng. Police said the accused Rizwan suspected that his wife Nadia had an affair with someone, on which he had nursed a grudge against her. On the day of the incident, he had an exchange of hot words with the victim over the said issue and later shot her to death.
found dead: A 60-year-old man was found dead in the limits of the North Cantt police area on Friday.
The deceased identified as Zahid Malang lived in a local shrine near Jora Pul. He was an addict who might have died of excessive use of drugs, police claimed. Body was shifted to morgue.
security: SSP VVIP Security said that the Lahore police was providing comprehensive security to the Chinese appointed on different projects.

Two held: Anti-Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) of FIA Lahore on Friday conducted a raid at Al Sadaat technical training centre Multan Road Lahore and recovered passports and medical certificates.
According to the FIA officials, the raiding team recovered four original Pakistani passports, 40 original medical certificates, two original educational certificates, original NOC issued by Ministry of Health, 100 original CVs and photocopies of passports, two laptop and two CPUs. Two accused, including Syed Abo Ali Naqvi, CEO and Syed Tahir were arrested from the spot. The accused were involved in sending people to Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Canada and Russia on work visas without licence. A case has been registered.
items seized: An anti-smuggling squad of Customs Lahore seized smuggled items on Friday.
According to Customs officials, they seized 50 cottons, 20kg each, of welding electrodes, worth Rs100,000, F/O art silk cloth assorted colours 9 packages each package containing 700 kg worth Rs250,000 and Indian tobacco worth Rs800,000.
Two die: Two motorcyclists were killed after their bikes collided at a high speed during a private racing session in the Muslim Town area on Friday.
They were identified as Malik Ahtasham, 30, son of Abdul Rashid and a resident of Nisbat Road Gawalmandi, and Arshad Hussain, 25, son of Miraj Din and a resident of Sant Nagar. It was reported that both Ahtasham and Arshad were racing their bikes near Shah Di Khoi when one of them lost control over his bike and was hit by another bike. As a result, both sustained fatal injuries. They were rushed to a nearby hospital where both of them died. Police handed the bodies over to the families.
Girl dies: A 24-year-old girl died in mysterious circumstances in her Harbanspura house on Friday. She was identified as Asma of Rashid Park, Harbanspura.
Police said that Salman, a carpenter by profession and Asma’s brother, came home late night and found his sister lying dead in a room. Police shifted the body to morgue.
