PEF aims to combat ignorance with education: chairman

MUZAFFARGARH: Punjab Education Foundation chairman Engineer Qamar-ul-Islam Wednesday said the PEF has defrayed more than Rs 100 billion on education of poor children.
Addressing a PEF school partners moot at Muzaffargarh, he said we have fixed a target of imparting education to 2,800,000 students who are out of schools upto 2018.
School partners from Rajanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan and Muzaffargarh attended the moot.
He said they have provided educational facilities to poor children in 36 districts of the province.
He said we aim to combat ignorance with education through child-friendly schooling and are providing educational facilities near homes of the children.
About the PEF, he said the foundation is the greatest movement for free and standard education. The PEF officers also spoke.
