Chitral police seize 195kg hashish

CHITRAL: The police arrested four drug-peddlers and seized a huge quantity of drugs from their possession here on Thursday, sources said.
A press release stated that on the directives of the District Police Officer (DPO) Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat, a campaign against anti-social elements and drug-traffickers was launched.
It stated that during the campaign the police seized 195 kilogram hashish and arrested four accused persons indentified as Zhan Zahi, Abdul Aziz, Sher Muhammad and Muhammad Din.
29kg opium seized in Charsadda: The police seized 29 kilograms of opium in the limits of Tangi Police Station on Thursday, official sources said. They said that action on tip-off, the police signaled a Qingqi rickshaw to stop. On a thorough search, the police recovered 29 kgs of opium from the hidden cavity of the auto.
