Growers warned of action

MULTAN: Punjab Additional Agriculture Secretary Rana Ali Arshad has asked the farmers to remove cotton bolls from fields, otherwise stern action would be taken against them for violating Section 144.
Talking to journalists here, he said that notices were issued under Section 144 and seven days would be given to each grower for removing cotton bolls from their fields. The growers, who would fail in removing cotton bolls from the fields, would be dealt under Section 144 without any discrimination. He said that the government had established cotton bolls procurement collection centres at the village level.a
