GUJRANWALA: Hundreds of people on Monday staged a demonstration against overbilling by the Gepco.
The protesters belonging to College Road, Guru Nanakpura and Clock Tower areas also blocked a road to register their protest. They were chanting slogans against the government and the Gepco officials. They said that they had been receiving inflated bills for the last three months. They said that they had visited the Gepco office several times for correction of their bills but to no avail. The protesters dispersed when the Gepco high-ups assured them of resolving their issue.
DEATH TOLL RISES: Three more victims of the boiler explosion died in a Lahore hospital, increasing the death toll to 11. The factory boiler exploded when the labourers were busy working on Saturday.

GUJRANWALA: The FIA arrested three agents from outside the passport office in Gujrat on Monday.
The FIA raided the area and arrested three agents Muhammad Asjad, Nadeem Ashraf and Shakeel. The FIA also recovered three passports from them. The FIA spokesman said that the action was taken as the people had filed several complaints against the passport agents.
