ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi hailed return of international cricket to Pakistan and hoped that the Test match starting from Friday would be entertaining one for the crowd. He was talking at the reception hosted in honour of Pakistan and Bangladesh cricket teams at Presidency Thursday afternoon.
“Pakistan is safe for sports and cricket is no exception. We love and cherish our cricket heroes. The return of international cricket back to the country is a welcoming sign.”President welcomed Bangladesh team. “You are our guest and we always greet our guests with open arm.” He hoped that guests stay in Pakistan would be comfortable.”We are expecting entertaining cricket from both teams. Our people love their cricking heroes.” Besides both teams and officials, Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) Dr Fahmida Mirza and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman were also present at the reception.
