Five militants killed in North Waziristan operation
MIRANSHAH: Five militants were killed during an intelligence-based operation conducted by security forces in the Dattakhel area of North Waziristan tribal district on Thursday, security officials said. Also, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), two soldiers, Sepoy Mohammad Shamim and Sepoy Asad Khan, embraced Shahadat during theencounter with the terrorists. The security forces had received intelligence information that the terrorists had crossed the border and entered Pakistan from neighbouring Afghanistan and hiding in a compound in Dattakhel. The security forces conducted a raid and killed five terrorists. In the exchange of fire, two soldiers embraced shahadat. The bodies of martyred soldiers were first flown to Miranshah, the headquarters of North Waziristan tribal district and later dispatched to their native areas for a burial.
