LAKKI MARWAT: The residents on Wednesday asked the provincial government to repair the Lakki-Mianwali Road, causing loss of precious lives in traffic accidents.
Former councillor Asmatullah Khan, Malik Usman Ali, Abdur Rehman, Muhammad Junaid and others said that the road connecting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with Punjab was in a shambles since long.
They accused the Pakhtunkhwa High Authority (PkHA) officials of not utilising the fund for the maintenance and repair of the road. They said that the mishaps were taking place due to potholes in the road. "The government allocates fund for the repair and maintenance of the dilapidated roads in the district, but the officials concerned don't work properly," Muhammad Junaid said.
