Federal Cup enters semis stage

ISLAMABAD: Sara Mansoor and Sarah Mahboob qualified for the women’s singles semi-finals of the 33rd Federal Cup National Ranking Tennis Championship at the PTF Tennis Complex on Sunday.
Also making it to the semi-finals were Mehaq Khokhar and unseeded Shimza Naz Durab.
Shimza made the major upset while eliminating 4th Seed Noor Malik in a thrilling three-set match.
Sara Mansoor will face Mehaq Khokhar and Sarah Mahboob will play against Shimza Naz Durab in semi-finals today (Monday).
Results: Women’s singles quarter-finals: Sara Mansoor bt Mehvish Chishtie 6-4, 6-4; Mehaq Khokhar bt Esha Jawad 6-2, 6-3; Shimza Naz Durab bt Noor Malik 7-5, 6-7(4), 6-3; Sarah Mahboob bt Adela Miron 6-0, 6-0.
