Journalists demand removal of Lahore CTO
LAHORE: Journalists continued their protest against Chief Traffic Officer Lahore Capt (retd) Malik Liaqat and demanded his immediate removal from the office.
The journalists, led by Lahore Press Club President Arshad Ansari, staged a protest demonstration outside the Punjab Assembly and decided to hold a complete boycott of the government coverage until the CTO Lahore was removed from the post. The protest was also attended by President Punjab Assembly Press Gallery Mian Aslam, President Punjab Union of Journalist Qamar Bhatti, former President PA Press Gallery Khawaja Naseer and others.
The journalists also demanded restoration of advertisements to Jang, Geo and Dawn and warned of not covering the National Assembly and Senate sessions if the demand was not met.
