Fans urged to show discipline during BD T20 rubber
LAHORE: The tour of Bangladesh cricket team will obviously play a major role in restoring confidence of other top cricketing nations; this was stated by DG Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh in a statement on Friday.
Aulakh said: “We are quite confident that other leading cricket teams will also tour Pakistan in near future after this tour”. He urged the Pakistan fans to show discipline and patience during the T20 rubber against visiting Bangladesh. The positive attitude of cricket lovers will definitely project Pakistan’s soft image at international level.
Highlighting Sports Board Punjab’s future events, Aulakh informed though cricket remains on top when it comes to popularity but we are focusing on several other sports as per our planning to promote sports culture across the province. “We are going to organize first SBP Snooker Championship in Nishtar Park Sports Complex in near future. Young players from all nine divisions will exhibit their snooker skills in the championship”. Aulakh further said that grand event of Kabaddi World Cup is also in the event list of Sports Board Punjab. “World’s top kabaddi stars from 10 leading teams including India will participate in the mega event”.
