PESHAWAR: The City Patrol Force of the capital city police were handed over tourniquet kits to save lives in case of emergencies.

The tourniquets were handed over to Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Mohammad Ali Gandapur by the director of the Lady Reading Hospital Khalid Masood. SSP Operations Zahoor Babar Afridi, SP headquarters Khan Khel and head of the City Patrol Force Usman Khan were also present on the occasion.

The CCPO was told that tourniquets help stop bleeding in case of emergencies for several hours, helping victims to reach the hospital where they can be provided treatment. The CCPO was informed that these tourniquets can stop bleeding and save a life for up to six hours.

Most of the cops of the City Patrol Force rush to the site of any emergency within five to seven minutes and help shift the victims of any attack, accident or any other incident to hospitals.
