Terror bid foiled in Bannu

BANNU: The security forces foiled a terror bid in Bakakhel area here on Wednesday, official sources said.

They said that the security forces and intelligence agencies were carrying out search operation in Janikhel when they signalled a motorcyclist to stop. However, the man abandoned the bike and managed to flee the scene. The security forces took the bike into custody and seized a bag carrying explosive, weighing 6-7 kilogram. The bomb disposal unit destroyed the explosive.
